Laser Rangefinder Buying Guide

Author: Jack Duncan  |  Category: Golf Equipment

Now that the days are ticking down towards Christmas and we are running out of shopping time, you may be having a hard time finding the right present for that hard to buy for someone in your life. If this person happens to be either a hunter or a golfer, then we have some good news, we might be able to help.

The tough thing about buying for a hunter or golfer is that they can be very particular about their equipment and if they are like me, they tend to buy what they want or need anyways. However, that said, there are always opportunities to find something really unique and special as a gift. Perhaps something they aren’t willing to buy for themselves, but would welcome from someone else.

My lovely wife recently surprised me with something called a laser rangefinder for my birthday. This gadget measures the distance to objects on the golf course or in the field when hunting. I have always seen other guys with them, and definitely wanted one, I just didn’t feel right spending the money on one. If this sounds like it might be similar to your situation then keep going.

Making a purchase of an item that you aren’t real familiar with can be intimidating and frustrating. You want to get it right, you want to pick the right one and you don’t want to pay more than you have to. We recommend you do the research ahead of time and then purchase the item online at Amazon, you can save a LOT of money by doing so yet still have the peace of mind that dealing with a huge company like Amazon brings.

A few minutes reading the various rangefinder reviews online will turn you from an amateur to a very educated consumer. Once you’ve read what more experienced buyers of these units like and dislike about each unit, then you can make a very educated purchase decision.

That rangefinder that my wife bought me for my birthday turned out to be a great gift. I had never bought one for myself as I didn’t want to spend the money but after just one round of golf using my new toy, I was glad she bought it for me. It saved me a lot of fatigue running around finding the markers and spotting objects and calculating the right club to use. Definitely a great gift that I wouldn’t have bought for myself.

If you are in the market for a laser rangefinder then check out our advice, do your homework and save yourself money on your purchase. That just seems like good sense to me.
